Government Proposes Minimum Wage Increase of 4-6%, Employers Ready to Accept Under Certain Conditions
The employers say that they would look into the proposition carefully and that they are ready to compromise, but not at any cost and not in a way that would jeopardize companies' operations.
The Serbian Association of Employers believes that an increase of the minimum wage of up to 6%, which matches the expected growth of the GDP in 2021, is possible, under the condition that companies' operations are facilitated through additional measures.
Those additional measures would be an increase of non-taxable salary components from 16,000 to 19,000 dinars and a reduction of salary taxes and contributions.
