Designing of Dispatch Center for Management of Serbian Railroads to Begin – Works Worth EUR 9 Million in 2021 in Cooperation with Russian Railways
The minister and Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko visited the existing dispatch center of the Serbian Railways Infrastructure and the control tower, where the project of the construction of a new, modern and unique dispatch center, which will be built in cooperation with the Russian Railways, was presented.
Mihajlovic said that it was an operating-supervision center in Makis, which would have three regional centers – in Novi Sad, Nis and Pozega.
– We are working with one of the best world companies, which has been operating in Serbia for several years now. I expect the works to start next year and be finished three years from that moment. Together we have reconstructed 77 km of the railway from Resnik to Valjevo and we will continue the reconstruction all the way up to the Montenegrin border, for which the project-technical documentation is currently being prepared – she said.
Nebojsa Surlan, the director of the Serbian Railways Infrastructure, said that the project would be realized with the Russian partner RZD, which is already carrying out several projects in Serbia. He reminded that the most recent system for the monitoring of rail traffic had been made 40 years before.
– The contracted value of the works is EUR 9 million. A detailed project task has been prepared. The works will be financed from the new Russian credit. The new dispatch center will also contribute to an increase in the level of safety and security of all the participants in the traffic – he said.
