This season has shown that tourist destinations in Serbia have potential, and the measure of reducing the working hours until 11 am each last Friday in a month or making it a free day, which would help tourists travel to one of the tourist destinations during the extended weekend, has been proposed by Ivan Trifunovic, the director of the Tourism Organization of Vrnjacka Banja.

At the online conference “Tourism in the Region in the Year Eaten by Coronavirus”, organized by Color Press Group, he presented the data according to which the visits to Vrnjacka Banja in July were at 90% of what they were in July 2019, whereas the drop in the number of foreign guests is 90%.

All events have been canceled and the only campaign is the one that says that safety comes first, he said.

– Adaptation is a good way of handling the coronavirus crisis for the time being, but in the long term, the system is not sustainable – he said.

In early 2020, Vrnjacka Banja launched the campaign “Come to the Seaside in Vrnjacka Banja”, referring to the destination's thirty pools and an aqua park. The place is an hour and a half away from Belgrade and two hours away from Novi Sad by highway.
