The construction of a new Covid hospital with 500 beds has started in Kragujevac. The new hospital, whose construction, as Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic pointed out, will cost RSD 1.72 billion, will be built by December 15.

The prime minister said that the hospital was being built for the potential second wave of the pandemic and added that new laboratories for PCR testing were also being built for that purpose, according to the government's website.

– If the vaccine arrives soon, if we fight the virus successfully and if the citizens are as disciplined as they are now and there's no need for this hospital as a Covid institution, it will still serve as a modern, multifunctional health institution for Krusevac and the Rasina District – Brnabic said.
