In an attempt to aid the efforts of the transportation economy to recover from the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK government has suspended the collection of the levy for heavy goods vehicles (HGV Road User Levy) between August 1, 2020, and July 31, 2021, Kancelarija Ivanovic announced.

The levy is otherwise paid by cargo vehicles of up to 12 tons and is really meant to contribute to addressing the problem of the wearing out of the traffic network.

– Local and international transporters, especially in these extraordinary times, are of essential importance for the country. Also, transporters play a key role in supporting the economic recovery and growth of Great Britain – the press release says and adds that this is why the collection of said levy is suspended.
