The complex of the future chocolate factory of the Belgian-Swiss company Barry Callebaut is being built along the regional M-7 road toward Zrenjanin.
As Dnevnik writes, a factory worth EUR 50 million is being built on the Zrenjanin Road. It should employ 100 workers and deliver 50,000 tons of chocolate a year to the regional market. It has been announced that the factory will be finished in early 2021.
It has also been announced that the salaries at the company will be around the European average for engineers and technologists and far above the Serbian average for other, ordinary workers. The same plot of land will feature a chocolate academy, which will lead to additional hiring of local people, engagement of the local faculties, the Novi Sad University...
