Belgrade's Novimix and Dutch manufacturer Nutreco signed 20m EUR worth of contract on cooperation - joint export of vitamin-mineral premixes

Novimix, a Serbian company that deals with production of vitamin-mineral additives for animal food, signed 20m EUR worth of contract today (February 16, 2010) on cooperation with Dutch fodder manufacturer Trouw Nutrition International.

The contract anticipates production of vitamin-mineral additives for fodder according to the license of the Dutch company, and the production is expected to start in March 2010 - the CEO of Novimix, Ivan Vujičić, told Beta agency after he signed the contract with Jurgen Verkiten, the CEO of Nutrition.

As he specified, for the needs of the project, Novimix will provide Velika Plana-based factory for production of vitamin-mineral premixes, which annually produces 25,000 tons and has 15 employees at the moment.

The plan is that additional 50 people be employed in the sales department for new products - Vujičić added.

The estimate is, as he said, that the value of the sales in domestic market within next three years will amount to 20m EUR, while the products are expected to be exported to the markets of Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania, as well as Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia.

Vujičić is of the opinion that the contract that was signed with the Dutch company is the sign for other investors that Serbia is suitable for investments.

Trouw Nutrition is a member of Nutreco Group, which operates in more than 25 countries and has 10,000 employees. This group annually produces 8m tons of fodder and regitered 4bn EUR worth of turnover.
