Wind farm in Plandište as well - Energowind signed 45 contracts with parcel owners
The municipality of Alibunar has installed the measuring instruments on the slopes of Deliblato Sands to determine the number of windy days during the year and check the justification of construction of wind turbines for production of electric energy. That is what other municipalities in this region do as well - the citizens of Vršac are already working on the projects for construction of several wind turbines, and local officials in Plandište have also done that recently.
Vršac-based company Energowind have signed 45 contracts with the parcel owners in Plandište where large number of wind turbines, or a wind farm, should be built already next spring. Of course, the decision on construction of a wind farm was preceded by three-year measuring of wind power on the plain on the territory of this municipality in south Banat. That showed that the investment of 140m EUR in wind turbines for production of electric energy would be profitable. The owners of aforementioned parcels have already been paid 12m RSD for the market value of their land, which is the proof of seriousness of this business.
The Mayor of Plandište, Zoran Vorkapić, is examining all options in order to enable this municipality to keep the pace with other municipalities in Vojvodina, especially when it comes to wind generators. He says that Energowind has the license for construction of 50 wind turbines of total power of 100 MW, which will be followed by collecting of documentation.
