Planinka took over management of spa resort Kuršumlijska Banja
Planinka's Finance Director Radoje Pavlović said today that it had been agreed that Planinka and the state form the joint venture to manage spa resort Kuršumlijska Banja.
He told Beta agency that the Ministry of Economy agreed that Planinka should be the majority owner and invest money in reconstruction of Kuršumlijska Banja, while the state would invest in the facility of Rehabilitation Institute Žubor.
- Planinka will first determine the state of this spa resort and then start realization of the agreement it made with the representatives of the Government of Serbia. We agreed that the cooperation between the state and Planinka should follow the model of Kragujevac's Zastava and Prokuplje's Leoni - said Pavlović.
People in tourist company Planinka point out that the first guests can be expected already in June 2010.
Kuršumlijska Banja was closed for visitors nearly 10 years ago. There are three spa resorts on the territory of the municipality of Kuršumlija. Two very successful spa resorts - Prolom Banja and Lukovska Banja, operate within Planinka, while Kuršumlijska Banja was owned by the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PIO).
