Soon - Tennis Academy Đoković in Kragujevac
- The works on construction of Tennis Academy Đoković in Kragujevac will commence in spring - said Srđan Đoković, the CEO of Family Sport.
He specified in the interview for Broadcasting Corporation Kragujevac (RTK) that 8 outdoor tennis courts and accompanying facilities would be built the first in the location of 4.5 ha.
- After that, construction of other sports, hotel and business facilities at few tens of thousands of square meters will be resumed, and the city and whole Serbia will take pride in them - said Đoković.
Đoković said that, due to the consequences of the global economic crisis, which can still be felt, he could not specify when the whole complex would be finished.
- It is for sure that, from the moment the works start, the whole complex will be finished in two or three years. The interest of the public in the academy is huge. We have already received tens of applications from Russia. There will be enough room for 70-80 boys and girls whose talents will be appraised by world-acknowledged experts - said Novak Đoković's father.
The Mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanović, said that the arrival of the Đoković family in Kragujevac is the second most important thing in that city, while the first is the arrival of Fiat. He also said that Kragujevac would be famous all over the world for Fiat and Tennis Academy Đoković.
