Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) will most likely buy the eponymous company in Republika Srpska, according to the recent announcements made by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik.
– We are more interested in some other power distribution companies – Vucic said in response to the question about the potential purchase of Elektroprivreda RS by EPS, “but we will certainly expand in the region.”
– But, I wouldn't want to reveal our plans. We will expand in the region, which can be stopped by political decisions sometimes, but our money and our economic strength will win – Vucic said.
Milorad Dodik pointed out that cooperation between the power distribution companies of Serbia and Republika Srpska was the most natural thing in the world.
– Yesterday we signed an agreement on a project which has been expected for 40 years, the hydro power plants Buk Bijela and Foca. Those are huge investments – Dodik said.
