Vampire Sava Savanović invites tourists to Valjevo

Newly founded Association and Tourist Cluster Valjevo za Vas (Valjevo for You) will "bring" the most famous Serbian vampire Sava Savanović, a character from Glišić's novel "90 Years Later", to the forthcoming Tourism Fair in Belgrade.

As a member of the Cluster, Dušan Arsenić, explained to the press, the idea is to present specific features of Valjevo and its surroundings in an original way.

- Sava Savanović will be presented as a cute vampire, in natural size, so that the visitors will be able to take photos with that original brand of Valjevo and keep them as long-lasting souvenirs - Arsenić said to the media.

The President of Valjevo za Vas, Vladimir Krivošejev, says that Valjevo's two tourist brands - history and tradition, that is, nature and environment, are conceived in an original and interesting way.

The promo leaflet-calendar of Valjevo will be promoted on that occasion, as well as earlier conceived campaign "I am My Own Tour-Operator" and "Money Bill of 25 EUR".

It is the offer for future visitors to spend a weekend in Valjevo for 25 EUR. That will be followed by the offers worth 21, 19 and 15 EUR, which will be the prices of similar arrangements with the appropriate offer of Tourist Cluster Valjevo za Vas.

However, people in that association expect that the "main joke" will be the story of the first Serbian vampire Sava Savanović, a character from Glišić's novel "90 Years Later", which used to "live" in a mill in village Zarožje, on the slopes of Jablanik mountain.

Valjevo za Vas will present its offer at the booth of 16 square meters, which is granted to that organization for free by the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade because they failed to reach the agreement with public company Valjevoturist on their joint appearance.

Public company Valjevoturist is not a member of Tourist Cluster Valjevo za Vas although its founding ceremony was attended by the State Secretary of Tourism in the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia, Goran Petković, who backed that idea.
