Leskovac gets gas pipeline prior to 2012 - investment worth about 17m EUR

The center of the Jablanica region, Leskovac, is on a good way to resolve the problems of connection of this city and its surroundings to the gas network. Construction of main gas pipeline MG-11 from Niš to this Leskovac and installation of gas pipeline network in the city streets should be completed prior to 2012, at the latest.

The Mayor of Leskovac, Slobodan Kocić, and CEO of Jugorosgaz, Vladimir Holding, have signed the contract that specifies all the details of this big investment.

As it was announced after the signing of the contract, between 16 and 17m USD will be invested in construction of the main gas pipeline, and complete investment will be provided by Russian side. Investment of 4 to 6m USD in construction of the gas network is also in the pipeline, and that investment will be also provided by Jugorosgaz. Local self-government is obliged to make all the accompanying documentation within the next three months. The Mayor of Leskovac, Slobodan Kocić, promised that that part of the job would be finished before the given deadline.
