The Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac (FILUM) is to finally get its own building, which will be built on a parcel in close proximity to the Faculty of Economics. This was announced by Serbian Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic during his visit to Kragujevac.

For the purposes of the construction of the FILUM building, the City of Kragujevac has set aside a parcel of 1.55 hectares in the university campus. The value of the investment in the construction of the 8,000-m2 building is around EUR 5.7 million, to be financed from the credit of the Council of Europe Development Bank, as said on the website of the City of Kragujevac.

FILUM was founded in 2002 and has been operating since in substandard conditions, renting various locations, in several facilities at other faculties, primary and secondary schools.

Minister Sarcevic emphasized that one of the ministry's priorities was to invest in higher education infrastructure.
