The Department for Innovations of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), in cooperation with the Council for Cooperation of Science and Economy, has founded the Open Innovations Club in order to help hundreds of companies develop their “Made in Serbia” solutions in the future and to help Serbia become recognized as a center of highly developed technologies and innovative solutions and an exporter of knowledge.

As the CCIS announced, the club was founded in order to incite joint activities of large and medium companies with local startups and small business entities, the development of the domestic market and the application of highly developed solutions.

The Open Innovations Club, they explain, is an environment where small local companies, startups, faculties and institutes have the opportunity to work together on solving the business challenges and creating products to be exported from Serbia.

The activities of the Open Innovations Club are directed at the organization of the “Innovation Call” meetings between startups and small companies, their presentation to a wider audience and large companies within “Pitch Days” and the consideration of business opportunities, as well as joint workshops, which are an excellent opportunity for brainstorming about solutions, innovations and consequent transformations.

Additional activities will also be defined by the Open Innovations Academy, which will be realized by the Business Academy of the CCIS.

Large companies will propose topics to startups and small companies, whereas lectures will be held by experts from various fields with a long standing experience.

The advantages of membership in the Open Innovations Club are the increase of innovation capacities – getting to know new technologies and business models, cooperation on projects, strengthening of productivity through saving costs and time, improving the company's image, initiating changes and training within the companies.

Membership in the Open Innovations Club is free and available to large and medium companies looking to increase their innovation capabilities in their sector.

The club is operational, and the first invitation for innovations is planned for late August, whereas the workshops are expected to start working in September.

For companies that want to become members of the Open Innovations Club, applications can be made at savet.nip@pks.rs.
