The aim of the Government of Serbia is for the state to become one of the top five countries on the World Bank's Doing Business list when it comes to the conditions of doing business.
Serbia Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said this at the meeting of the Joint Group for the improvement of Serbia's position on the list and added:
– We have prepared an ambitious action plan for the further improvement of Serbia's position on the Doing Business list, which the Government of Serbia will adopt shortly.
She added that, even with the success regarding the issuing of building permits, there will be efforts to further improve the sector.
– I expect further improvements in other sectors too, from starting a business, power connections, land register, lending and others – Mihajlovic pointed out.
At the meeting, which was also attended by the ministers of finance and mining and energy, Sinisa Mali and Aleksandar Antic, there was talk about Serbia's further activities toward improving its position on the list and they agreed that the reforms the state had carried out, especially in the form of implementing electronic building permits, had already been recognized in the world, the ministry announced.
All the participants in the meeting expressed readiness to start carrying activities from the prepared action plan, each in their own field.
