Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced on May 4 that Serbia will donate EUR 2 million for the development of a coronavirus vaccine and support to the World Health Organization (WHO) in fighting the pandemic.

Brnabic said at an online international conference "Coronavirus Global Response", which had been initiated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, that EUR 1 million will be earmarked for the development of the vaccine and another EUR 1 million for support to the WHO.

She underlined that it is an honor and pleasure for Serbia to participate in this project together with European partners and to contribute to the global efforts to combat the pandemic.

The Prime Minister also said that our country remains committed to partnering with the European Union, and that it will share its scientific knowledge and achievements with European partners and those around the world.

Brnabic also expressed her hope that both citizens and national economies will successfully overcome the current crisis.
