Many of those wearing facemasks due to coronavirus lately have been facing a problem which only seems unsolvable. People who wear prescription glasses get their glasses foggy only several seconds after putting on a mask, due to the breath. This makes it difficult to move around and they're often forced to take down their glasses.

There's a technique preventing this from happening. Right before you put on the mask, wash your glasses with water with a drop of liquid soap, shake the foam off and leave them to dry or wipe the glasses with a soft cloth. After this, they should not get foggy when you put on the mask.

Still, maybe advice should be sought in Asia, where it's much more common to wear facemasks as a means of prevention.

For example, the Tokyo police have issued an instruction for how to wear the glasses and the mask at the same time. There are two ways. One is simply to fold the upper fourth of the mask before putting it on. The other is to put a tissue on the upper part of the mask, beneath the nose.

Of course, pharmacies also sell sprays which help prevent the glasses from getting foggy, but, by following the advice of Japanese experts, you will save time and money.
