New Zemun-Borča bridge officially costs 170m EUR

- The determined value of the future Zemun–Borča bridge with all accompanying junctions is 170m EUR - it is stated in the information on the need for signing the contract on financing the project for construction of this bridge, which was adopted by the Board members of the City Assembly at yesterday's (December 28, 2009) meeting.

This value was defined by the pre-contract that was signed between the Republic of Serbia, the city of Belgrade and Chinese company "China Road and Bridge Corporation" in October 2009. It is also specified by the information that the Mayor of Belgrade is authorized to sign the contract on behalf of the city of Belgrade with the Ministry of National Investment Plan for the sake of realization of this project.

The bridge will be 1,500 meters long, with all accompanying junctions about 21,000 meters long, from Novosadski Road to Pančevački Road. Preparation of the project-technical documentation and the works will be financed from the loan of Chinese Exim Bank with 85% of the project's value (144.5m EUR), while the rest will be provided from the Republic budget, through National Investment Plan (25.5m EUR). The costs of investments, as far as part that is financed from the loan is concerned, will be covered by the city and the republic with 50% each.
