Fewer guests at hotels in Serbia and the region due to coronavirus
According to the general manager of Hotel Holiday Inn in Belgrade, Slavica Bogosavljevic, at the moment, each hotel in the Serbian capital is experiencing a drop in the number of guests due to coronavirus.
– The situation is serious. Most of us didn't think it would be so bad. January and February are an out-of-season part of the year for Belgrade, but once news broke out about the epidemic in Italy, everything went downhill even faster – Bogosavljevic said and added that many guests had canceled their reservations.
She said that they were taking preventive measures in order to compensate for the lack of guests and that conferences, events and workshops were being organized.

– We are taking precautionary measures, entailing disinfection and maintaining a high level of hygiene so that the tourists would feel comfortable and so as to prevent infection among the employees and the guests – he said.
The general manager of Hotel InterContinental in Sofia, Angelo Zuccala, also talked at the panel. He said that the operations in February had been very good and that there had been plenty of guests from Italy, but that everything changed that month.
