Wine show in Aleksandrovac in early May
According to Vladimir Raskovic, the director of the Tourism Organization of Aleksandrovac, this year's fair will not be dedicated to this traditionally very important wine area of Serbia and its indigenous varieties only on paper. The program includes panel discussions about the Prokupac and Tamjanika varieties.
The event starts on May 2 and is open between 11 am and 7 pm at the ceremonial hall of the Zupski Dvor restaurant in Aleksandrovac, and entrance is free.
Although the organizers are still consulting with the exhibitors, according to the current concept, there's a possibility of once again eschewing registration fees for local and foreign exhibitors, and special focus will be placed on the media, whose arrival and accommodation will be organized for the first time.
The exhibit program will be followed by the Wine Ball, a dinner for the participants, and interested visitors can also take part by paying a fee of 2,000 dinars.
If everything goes as planned, a trip to several wineries will be organized the next day, which will also include stops at other highlights along the Zupa wine roads, providing a more rounded picture of around 120 wineries in Zupa, more than a half of which are registered.
