- New President of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) in Serbia is Chel-Morten Jonsen, the Director General of "Telenor" in our country - people from that organization announced today (December 10, 2009).
According to the announcement, at the FIC's assembly in Serbia, which was held yesterday, Jonsen said that he would keep insisting on the continuation of reforms, formulation of clear economic policy, more efficient administration and equal business terms for all participants in the market.
Goran Pitić, the President of the Administrative Board of Societe Generale Bank Serbia, is appointed as the Vice President of FIC, while the members of the Administrative Board are: the Director General of "British American Tobacco" for east Balkans, Christian Cornerup Jensen, the Director General of "Carlsberg" in Serbia, Aleksandar Radosavljević, and the Director General of "Mercedes-Benz SCG", Andreas Binder.
That body also includes the Director General of "Henkel" in Serbia, Nenad Vuković, the Director General of "Lafarge" in Serbia, Kostin Bork, the Director General of "Pepsico international" for Western Balkans, Vasilis Glinos, and the Deputy Director General of company "Politika novine i magazini" and the Director General of "WAZ", Verner Herich.
The Foreign Investors Council was founded in 2002 with the support of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and it gathers over 120 companies that have invested more than 14 billion USD and employed over 60,000 people in Serbia.
