Tax collectors to start controlling companies
- In the following period, inspectors will put an accent on office control of tax payers - Dragutin
Radosavljević, the CEO of the Tax Administration, announced. In about 20 days, the unique registry of tax payers will be formed, and it will include both companies and citizens.
- Along with other registries that are run by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and local self-governments, and with the registry that will be made by the Republic Geodesic Institute, we will have four important registries as the base for future electronic administration. Prior to the end of 2010, electronic communication will be established with everybody - Radosavljević pointed out.
The Tax Administration of Serbia collected 465.5 billion RSD worth of taxes and excise taxes in 11 months of this year, which is 0.2% more than projected 464.4 billion RSD. This year, total of 515 billion RSD worth of value added taxes, income taxes, taxes on profit and excise taxes will be collected, which is 5 billion RSD more than planned.
- That is the proof that the economy and production have recovered and that the export is growing - said Radosavljević and specified that the growth of public incomes had been registered in the previous three months.
The CEO of the Tax Administration estimated that the draft budget for year 2010 was realistic and that the plan for tax incomes was completely achievable. Radosavljević expressed belief that the budget deficit in 2010 would be smaller than projected 107 billion RSD due to economic growth, larger tax capacities of tax payers and larger incomes of the Tax Administration.
