Small and mid-sized enterprises to obtain 250 EUR - Eurobank EFG approves loans from Apex credit line of European Investment Bank

- By signing the Mediatory Financial Contract with the National Bank of Serbia, Eurobank EFG has joined the process of approval of loans from the Apex credit line for small and mid-sized enterprises of European Investment Bank (EIB). The loans from this line, in total amount of 250m EUR, will be granted to small and mid-sized enterprises for the purpose of financing the investments in permanent capital funds, entrepreneurs, local self-government, as well as other end-users that implement the projects in the fields of economy, education, energy, environment protection, health care and other services in Republic of Serbia - people from that bank announced.

The loans from this line will be approved under favorable terms. Depending on who is the end-user of the funds, the repayment period ranges between 2 and 15 years, the grace period is up to 5 years, while maximum amount per loan is 12.5m EUR.

- This credit line is very significant for successful operations and development of Serbian companies, as well as for overal economic development of the country . The initiatives like this one will enable continuation of investments in Serbian economy and improve the efforts for making it stronger - Antonis Chatzistamatiou, a member of the Executive Board of Eurobank EFG, pointed out.

Eurobank EFG and European Investment Bank signed 50m EUR worth of credit arrangement for small and mid-sized enterprises and priority projects in June 2009 for financing investment projects, capital funds and leasing arrangements of small, mid-sized and micro enterprises in Serbia. Eurobank EFG was the first bank in Serbia to obtain such loan from EIB.

The bank invites all interested clients to ask for additional information on the possibilities of cooperation and credit terms in more than 120 offices of Eurobank all around Serbia and in any of 9 business centers for economic operations in Serbia, or through their managers for public relations.
