German company HDT building factory in Svilajnac – Production to start in April, jobs for 100 workers

The German electronics company HDT, a member of Beha Group, is one of the investors which will operate in the municipality of Svilajnac this year. The company has bought a hectare of land in the Free Zone and is building a factory of electronic measuring instruments on over 2,000 m2.

In late September, when the agreement was signed between the Municipality of Svilajnac and the German investor, the president of the Municipality of Svilajnac, Predrag Milanovic, handed over the building permit to HDT. The construction of the factory began in late November 2019.

Beha is a family company with a long tradition. This export-oriented company will employ over 100 workers.

– I want to invite our fellow citizens to apply for the jobs at the new company. At the job fair which takes place in early March in Svilajnac, Beha will be one of the employers offering jobs, not just to people of Svilajnac, but for residents of the neighboring municipalities. What's very important for us is that, in addition to those jobs, the development of Svilajnac has helped once small local companies, which have expanded due to the workload and are now capable of working for foreign investors and employing additional workers – said Predrag Milanovic.
