Concessionaire for construction of cable car system between Kotor and Lovcen sought
The route begins in the Dub location, on the periphery of Kotor, close to the entrance to the road tunnel which connects Kotor and Tivat, leading to the Kuk location on the Lovcen mountain. This section, together with the areas necessary for the construction of the Dub and Kuk terminals with side features is the concession area.
The planned concession period is 30 years from the date all the requirements within the draft agreement on the concession, which is part of the tendering documentation, are met. The concession period includes the time needed for the construction of the cable car system, estimated at one year, and the operating period of the remaining 29 years.
The concessionaire is expected to propose an investment program through which it will build the cable car system and put it into operation within the first year of the coming into effect of the Agreement on the Concession, and fully build all the side structures and put them into operation within three years of the coming into effect of the Agreement on the Concession. The minimum investment in the cable car system and the side features is EUR 18 million.
The minimum concession fee is 15% of the annual profit. All the structures and the equipment are transferred to the concedent upon the expiration of the concession period.
Eligible tenderers are all interested bidders that meet the requirements.
The bid submission deadline is February 28, 2020, at 2 pm. The bids are to be opened on the same date, at 2.30 pm.
