he Canadian city of Niagara Falls has officially named a square after Nikola Tesla.

The name of the square was made official in a proclamation issued to the principal of the Serbian school Nikola Tesla, Borislav Zivkovic and the representative of the Canadian Tesla Technical Museum, Nemanja Jevremovic.

The proclamation points out that with his inventions, Nikola Tesla initiated technological advancement, and it was in Niagara that this great step for humanity took place at the end of the 19th century with the construction of the first hydroelectric power plant modeled on Tesla’s polyphase system, Tanjug reports.
