Only 10% of the commuters use the 12 tram lines in Belgrade daily, so the city is planning to hire experts to analyze how to improve the tram traffic in the upcoming period. The public procurement procedure for the preparation of a technical-technological analysis of the tram subsystem and a proposition of measures for increasing the efficiency and the share of tram traffic in the city's public transport has been opened.

Among other things, the project entails: an analysis of the current state, an analysis of the busiest corridors and sections within the tram line network, and a proposition of measures for increasing the efficiency of tram traffic.

As said, the tram subsystem has been the backbone of the public transport system in Belgrade since it was introduced in 1892.

The bid submission deadline is February 10, 2020.
