Public invitation for construction of second complex of buildings for security forces in Vranje to open in spring

(Illustration) The location for the construction of the second complex of the buildings for members of the security forces in Vranje has been determined. The buildings are to be raised right next to “Peta Skola” education facility, said the mayor of Vranje, Slobodan Milenkovic.

He specified that the public tender for the contractor for the construction of five new buildings with 298 apartments would open in the spring.

– When it comes to the first complex, the construction of which is close to completion, the finalization of the landscaping works around the complex, the full completion of the construction of the apartments and the moving in of the first tenants can be expected in mid or late February – Milenkovic announced.

Vranje is the first city in Serbia to propose a location for the construction of apartments for members of the security forces and also the first to provide full documentation and permits for the construction of those facilities.

The first complex will have 186 apartments.

The construction of apartments for members of the security forces is part of the state project which entails the construction of 200 apartments each in Vranje, Nis, Kraljevo, Kragujevac and Sremska Mitrovica and 550 in Novi Sad.

According to the announcements of the Ministry of Construction, the tender for the contractor for another 4,200 apartments, which will take up 320,000 m2, should open in the upcoming months.

The plan is for around 8,000 apartments to be built in Serbia within this program.
