BRNABIC: State to start reforming EPS and Srbijagas
Brnabic said on RTS that the reform of public companies would start with Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) and Srbijagas, as those are companies which can contribute the most to the economic growth.
– We will take care of each job – the prime minister pointed out and added that public companies and their managements needed to be more efficient.
The IMF calculated that each drop of the economy of the Eurozone by 1% meant a drop of the Serbian economy by a quarter of one percent, but the prime minister believes that the economy of Serbia is becoming resilient to any kind of blow, although there will be problems with the acceleration of the growth if the European economy keeps slowing down.
She pointed out that the growth would amount to 4% even with the three big challenges this year, namely, the Pristina fees, the European steel quotas and the slowing down of the economies of Germany and Italy.
