Libya invites Serbian companies to take part in construction of infrastructure in that land
Co-chairman of the Serbia-Libya Committee, Mohamed Hidžazi, invited Serbian companies to take part in realization of the projects for construction of infrastructure in Libya, for which the Government of that country plans to set aside about 25 billion USD in 2010.
After the three-day meeting of that Committee in Belgrade, the Protocol on cooperation between the two countries was signed, as well as the Memorandum on cooperation in health care and tourism and the Agreement on avoidance of double taxation.
Answering the questions about the problem of Serbia's debt to Libya, the Minister of Infrastructure, Milutin Mrkonjić, said that that debt amounted to about 50m EUR at the moment, and that it would, most probably, be repaid through export of goods, primarily drugs.
