After the Ministry of Finance issued the decision on the expansion of Free Zone Pirot to the neighboring Dimitrovgrad, equipment for the processing of waste tires has been delivered to the company Eco Rubber.

The installation of the equipment worth nearly EUR 1 million began on December 15. The processing is expected to begin in early 2020. The company will produce raw material for various consumer products made of rubber, such as noise isolation panels, surfaces for sports courts and playgrounds for children and other products.

At the same time, the construction of this facility is a large contribution to environmental protection in the whole region.

In addition to advantages when it comes to the import of production equipment, working within Free Zone Pirot will provide Eco Rubber with other benefits of the customs duty-free regime, such as international transport organization and customs representation services, the Free Zone says.
