Banca Intesa granted loans for energy efficiency improvement to companies "Jelen do" and "Forma Ideale"

Within the scope of the EBRD's programme, Banca Intesa has approved the loans for financing of the first two projects intended for improvement of energy efficiency and promotion of the renewable energy projects.

Company "Jelen do" has obtained 2.23m EUR, while 200,000 EUR have been granted to "Forma Ideale". The funds are provided from EBRD's first credit line in Serbia, worth 10m EUR.

The credit line is a part of the broader project by the European Commission and EBRD on the territory of western Balkans. The programme anticipates provision of 60m EUR worth of support to the banking sectors in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro for approval of loans to the economy for financing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Slađana Jelić, the Manager of the SME and Local Self-Government Sector in Banca Intesa, said that that bank intended to help its clients achieve as good business results as possible and improve energy efficiency, that is, reduce negative influence of use of conventional sources of energy.
