Eighth international conference of Belgrade Stock Exchange on November 19 and 20 in Belgrade

This November, the Belgrade Stock Exchange organizes the traditional annual meeting of the representatives of the capital market - the 8th international conference, of which aim is to stimulate the participants to talk about relevant, but still insufficiently discussed issues in the industry of developed stock exchange business in the markets of Southeast Europe.

At the "Upgrade in Belgrade 2009" conference, which will be held on November 19 and 20 in Belgrade-based hotel "Continental", special emphasis will be placed on the macroeconomic prospects for year 2010, corporate Investor relations, and manipulation - market abuse.

Patrick Birley, the CEO of European Climate Exchange, who will present "Cap & Trade" programme whose aim is to bring together capitalists and environmentalists in the fight against climate changes, will talk about "Climate changes and markets".

Miloš Mladenović, the representative of public company "Elektromreža Srbije", will speak about the concept and possibilities for realization of the project for establishment of electricity exchange in Serbia. The experiences in that field will be presented by Hans-Arild Bredesen, the CEO of "Nord Pool Consulting AS" from Oslo, Sandrine Wachon, the international business development expert from Paris-based "EPEX Spot", as well as Tomaž Lajovic, the Director General of "BSP SouthPool" from Ljubljana.

The conference will also be dedicated to the methods for improvement of liquidity.

International Finance Corporation (IFC) will organize presentation of "Scorecard – improving the corporate governance practice", which will be focused on the aspect of establishment of efficient mechanisms for implementation of valid regulations and accepted recommendations of the best corporate governance practice.

The visitors of the conference will also participate in workshop "Practical Insights in the Structured Derivatives Business".
