"Transaero" to buy "Jat tehnika"?
Russian air transportation company "Transaero" is interested in strategic partnership or takeover of "Jat tehnika". The official information on that has already reached Belgrade, and it was also discussed during the recent visit of Russian economic delegation, which checked and confirmed seriousness of the offer.
By the way, "Transaero" ranks second in number of transported passengers in Russia, right behind "Aeroflot".
- We cooperate with "Transaero" for a long time, and we have, so far, serviced engines for airplanes of type "boeing 737" for that company. We have recently renewed and expanded the contract. "Transaero" then sent us an official e-mail to express its interest in strategic partnership or takeover of our company. Since "Jat tehnika" is a state-owned company, we have forwarded that offer to higher authorities for consideration - says Srđan Mišković, the Director General of "Jat tehnika".
Mišković added that Lithuanian company "Fly lau" had offered to rent the company on five years, with complete services.
