The Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, stated that he had discussed Russia's interest in building a gas pipeline on the territory of Republika Srpska with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Belgrade during his visit to Serbia.
– Their interest is clear. Russia wants to build a pipeline and wants to be present in the territory of Republika Srpska – Dodik told RTRS.
Dodik said that certain lobby groups wanted to stop the Russian gas and that the “business plans” of the USA and Russia did not match.
– We need to choose what's cheaper and more secure for us in the long run – Dodik said.
According to him, Russia does not have “an aggressive policy” towards the Balkans.
