Termoelektro Belgrade, together with Babcock agreed on overhaul of steam power plants in Germany, 70% of operations across the border
Termoelektro started the year 2005 by signing the contract with Babcock on overhaul of steam power plants RWE in Germany. In 2004, after pause lasting for one decade, domestic company signed contract on overhaul of steam power plants in Frimmersdorf and Weisweiler, as well as installation of new boiler for burning of city waste in Bremen. The realization of job started in May 2004 and already in October they repaired 7 big blocks of steam power plants, whereas in December they finished installation of big boiler.
According to new contract, 300 workers will be sent to work in Germany, which could result in hiring of 70% of all workers of that company for that job.
In 2005, continuation of construction of fire-fighting system in US Steel is expected, after successful realization of job in cold rolling mill of US Steel in Smederevo. Three contracts have been signed with Russian Silovye mašiny, and it is expected that the company will take part in works on revitalization of Steam Power Plant Đerdap I, Kostolac A and the first block of Steam Power Plant Nikola Tesla B.
