Big ambitions of Japanese company in our market - "Canon" opened branch office in Serbia

Company "Canon" has opened a branch office in Serbia, and the Manager of the partner channel of company "Canon CEE", Goran Sretenoski, pointed out that the aims of the company in the domain of business solutions for the following period included keeping of the leading position in the market of multifunctional devices and positioning as referential supplier of IT solutions in Serbia.

- In addition, we will try to take the second position in the domain of high-format printers and recognitiion as reliable supplier of solutions for professional printing - Sretenoski pointed out at the opening of the branch office.

The business attention of the company is mainly concentrated on two clearly defined markets: business solutions (development of IT products, solutions and services for office and professional printing surroundings) and equipment for visual presentation for broad use (photo-cameras, video cameras, printers, scanners, fax machines and multifunctional devices).

By using multifunctional devices, companies can cut their printing costs by up to 30%, while devices can be repaid in two years. The share of "Canon" in that segment is 40%.

The information that, in spite of turbulent business climate, "Canon" managed to achieve its business goals in Europe in the first half of year 2009 and route the optimism for the period prior to the end of the calendar year speaks volumes about development potentials of the company. "Canon" turned net profit of 33.3 billion JPY (248.2m EUR) for the first six months of this year.
