New Slovenian-Serbian strategic merging in field of IT, HERMES SoftLab and Virtual Team Kragujevac

Virtual Team (www.Virtualteam.co.yu), the company for software development from Kragujevac and HERMES SoftLab (www.hermes-softlab.com), the biggest Slovenian company for development of software and IT solutions, which employs over 550 people, have reached agreement on strategic merging.

HERMES SoftLab and Virtual Team have founded joint venture Virtual Team Ltd. with the headquarters in Kragujevac, in Serbia. The joint venture represents superstructure of business cooperation on implementation of numerous development projects.

Gregor Smrekar, member of administration of HERMES SoftLab: »Newly founded company represents to HERMES SoftLab, first of all, investment in increase of development capacities. Our aim is that Virtual Team become competent development department of HERMES SoftLab in Serbia. Vladan Atanasijević, director of Virtual Team: »20 development engineers from Virtual Team with the experience of five or more years in field of software development will join the joint venture. The company is specialized for development of mobile applications, design of applications to order and development of software in .NET environment.

We plan to hire young IT experts and join the education process actively through expert specialization of students of the University in Kragujevac. «

In 2003, at Microsoft World Wide Partner Conference, it won the award in category Development of CRM solutions, whereas, in 2004, at the same conference, it won prestigious Winning Customers Award 2004 for 3P application.

Additional motivation for founding of joint venture in Kragujevac is high-quality local university, which will be the base for further cooperation.
