Companies in Serbia have until October 1 to register their emails for free at the Business Registers Agency (APR), as per the Company Law, which was adopted in mid-2018.

From October 1, the service will no longer be free. The obligation of registering an email address pertains to companies, representations and branch offices of foreign companies, as well as enterprises registered at APR without listing an email.

Associations, sports companies, associations and federations, as well as endowments and foundations, are not obliged to register an email, APR says on its website.

Filled-out registration forms are to be submitted in person to APR or by mail, at the address of APR, 25 Brankova Street, Belgrade, and they may also be emailed.

After October 1, 2019, the fee for the change of data will be charged for the registration of an email, APR announced.

Under the law, companies must have an email registered due to the switch to the electronic sending of APR decision and companies’ financial reports.

Those who had registered an email address before the new law was adopted are not required to do so again.
