Construction of Danube bridge at Ada Huja should begin in 2021 – City of Belgrade to complete the project
– The works will begin in 2021. Once it's completed, it will be an alternative to the Pancevo Bridge. That's when it will close for traffic, which will be redirected to the Ada Huja bridge, so that the state could do a detailed and full reconstruction of the Pancevo Bridge. The Ada Huja bridge will be connected with the Ada Bridge and this will be the internal bypass route in Belgrade. It will start at the Ada Bridge and we are already working on Patrijarha Pavla Blvd, from Pere Velimirovica Street towards Kosutnjak. There will be four lanes there instead of the current two. Four lanes for exiting the bridge, around the Topcider Park, entering Patrijarha Pavla Blvd, Pere Velimirovica Street, Borska Street, Crnotravska Street, Save Maskovica Street, from the Lasta interchange toward Mali Mokri Lug, and then behind Mirijevo, and finally to the Ada Huja bridge. This will be the internal bypass route, which will allow us to go from one bridge to another quickly and it is only then that the Ada Bridge will get its full purpose. It is only then that we can start reconstructing the Pancevo bridge together with the state – Vesic said, as reported by Beoinfo.
This is, in fact, a functional connecting of the routes of two planned roads: the Inner Main Semi-Ring Road, which started with the construction of the Ada Bridge, and the future Outer Main Tangent Road, which should connect Rakovica with the Ada Huja bridge, through Banjica, Mali Mokri Lug and the Danube slope.
