"Rakija Fest" in Belgrade’s "Sava Center" on September 26 and 27

- The third Belgrade’s "Rakija Fest" will be held in Sava Center in Belgrade on September 26 and 27 – the organizers, "Rakia Bar" and the Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development Center, announced. According to the announcement, that manifestation will be an economic, entertaining and tourist event. The festival will gather over 30 leading manufacturers of natural fruit brandies, and it will also include a series of expert lectures, as well as rich entertainment programme.

"Just like the last year, brandies will be evaluated by the expert tasting committee within the scope of the accompanying programme of Belgrade’s "Rakija Fest". The committee is made of: Prof. Dr. Ninoslav Nikićević, Prof. Dr. Vele Tešević, Dr. Snežana Stanković, graduate engineer Miroljub Cilić and graduate engineer Veroljub Urošević", it is stated in the announcement.

Expert lectures at the Festival will make it possible for the visitors to get the information on export of Serbian brandies, their positioning in hypermarkets in local market, as well as significance of design and packaging. On that occasion, promotion of the Manual for Brandy Production will be organized as well.

The entertainment part of the Belgrade "Rakija Fest" will include the concerts of famous artists from Belgrade. The guests will be entertained by Tanja Moderato and Nada Pavlović band on Saturday, while Index Radio Theater, band Jarboli, and DJ Funky Sljiva will make Sunday more than enjoyable for the visitors.

The Brandy Chess and the fashion review of haircuts of beauty parlor Aleksa La Vie will be organized for the press and the visitors, and there will also be an exhibition of photographs.

Belgrade’s "Rakija Fest 2009" will also promote the campaign for responsible behavior of drivers under the name of "I Drive Sober", which will be accompanied by a series of activities that promote responsible behavior of participants in traffic.

Belgrade’s "Rakija Fest", as the most significant manifestation of the kind in the region, has been backed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Waterpower Engineering of Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Republic of Serbia, the City of Belgrade, the Tourism Organization of Belgrade, the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.
