Kraljevo should also get a new modern stadium that meets UEFA standards within the project of construction and renewal of sport fields in Serbia. The urban planning project for the construction of the stadium is currently under public review. The preliminary design for the project was prepared by the Energoprojekt holding.

As stated by The preliminary design the planned location for the football stadium is in the eastern part of town which is, according to the General Regulation Plan , a part of the industrial zone Sports airport. The zone is located in the lowland terrain towards the west bank of the West Morava River at the altitude of 200 m above sea level. The distance from the city centre is 2-3 km and the land is well equipped infrastructurally.

– The interior, functional and technological organization of the facility has been designed in accordance with urban planning conditions, investor's demands, current technical regulations, rules, standards and special requirements and suggestions for this type of project, the preliminary design states.

The central facility on the location is the football stadium around which all secondary facilities and the exterior development complete with the infrastructure have been planned and coordinated with the primary function of the facility and its demands.

The main facility – the stadium consists of two functional co-dependent units – the field and the auditorium, that is, the covered stands that surround it.

– The planned dimension of the field is 105x68m and the surface of the field will be covered with artificial turf in compliance with UEFA's and investor's demands. The facility is set up around the field, it's rectangular in shape with curved edges and consists of multi-tier stands with supporting facilities. The stands are arranged into four sections : east, west, north and south, states the preliminary design.

The planned number of seats on the stands is 8,057. In addition to these, there will be another 112 seats for the members of the press.

The stadium is supposed to have three levels.

Within the ground floor (west section) same facilities for both teams are planned on both sides of the corridor : locker rooms, massage rooms, toilet rooms and showers, while beneath the south stands there is a unit designed for sports facilities that are not part of the primary function of the facility and which can be used as a completely independent unit. This part of the stadium includes the following sports facilities : bowling room, table tennis room, martial arts room, catering facilities for visitors and ancillary sanitation and mechanical rooms.

Beside the main field, the plan is to build another side field with the artificial turf surface, its planned dimension being 95x64m. Benches for coaches and substitute players are to be set next to the field on the east side. Stadium light fixtures are to be installed on four pillars located in the corners of the field.

Let us remind that aside from Kraljevo new stadium will be also built in Vranje , Leskovac, Loznica, Zajecar and Kragujevac.
