Waste management conference within ZEPS fair in B&H
The conference is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, BiznisInfo reports.
The focus of the conference will be on the economic aspect of waste management, as the general position is that no waste management system is sustainable without the “circular economy”, where the public and the private sector are the carriers and the market is the ultimate regulator of the whole management process.
The main goal of the conference is to point out that, in addition to passing and implementing adequate regulations, a systemic financial support to companies in the waste management is also necessary.
Another goal is to highlight the importance of passing and implementing EU directives in the field of waste management.
The conference will provide a forum consisting of experts, waste management company representatives and representatives of state institutions on all levels, all to the end of sharing information and the best technologies available, as well as practical insight into the current situation in FB&H when it comes to waste management.
NGOs and civil society organizations will take part in the conference as well. They will present the results of their research of the state of collective awareness among the citizens when it comes to selective collection of disposal of waste, the press release says.
