Facade solar panel factory to be built in Croatia
The total investment in the factory of façade solar panels is around HRK 50 million (around EUR 6.78 million), of which HRK 10 million (around EUR 1.35 million) are the costs of the production line, whereas the rest are the costs of the production-storage building and the office building, with a total area of over 4,000 m2, Varazdinske Vijesti reports.
The factory building itself, which is being built in the Brezje Business Zone, will feature such façade solar panels.
Farmex is a family company of the Varazdin-based businessman Stjepan Talan, also the owner of the solar photovoltaic cell producer Solvis.
– Farmex is in the vitamin, mineral and medicine business, but it is also registered for operations in the energy sector, so this investment will be made into a facility for the production of solar panels, just as in Solvis. Still, strategically, we found it more suitable in the long term for the investor to be Farmex, and not Solvis. Solvis is continuing with its standard production activities, and a new hall with a whole new line and new, innovative technology is being built here – Talan said.
Special façade panels for buildings will be produced at the new hall. The production will be primarily oriented to export to the markets of the USA, Denmark, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The factory building itself, located in the Brezje Business Zone, will have such façade panels, in order to showcase the product, Talan said.
The assembly of the production line, the employment of new workers and the beginning of the production are all expected for the spring of 2020, Talan said. Around 30 to 40 workers will be employed at the new factory.
