More than 6m EUR for cross-border cooperation projects of Serbia and Bulgaria
The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Serbia have announced an invitation for submission of draft projects with the aim of promoting cross-border cooperation between the two countries with the financial support of IPA's Cross-border Cooperation Programme Bulgaria-Serbia.
Over 6.1m EUR worth of grants are reserved for the projects, which should be focused on development of small-scale infrastructure, as well as improvement of capacities for joint planning, resolving of problems and development.
The aim of the project is to improve the capacities of local and regional organizations to develop and implement joint projects in border areas in Bulgaria (regions of Vidin, Montana, Sofia, Sofija City, Pernik and Ćustendil) and Serbia (regions of Bor, Zaječar, Nišava, Pirot, Jablanica and Pčinj).
