Fourth ministerial conference on innovations of China and CEE countries on October 8-9 in Belgrade
The preparatory meeting was run by the state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nemanja Stevanovic, and the minister without a portfolio in charge of innovations and technological development, Nenad Popovic, in the capacity of the hosts of the upcoming conference.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the embassies of the countries from within the mechanism of cooperation of China with CEE countries, that is, the 17+1 format, namely, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, China, Poland, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Montenegro and the Czech Republic. Furthermore, representatives of other ministries and institutions of the Republic of Serbia, which are involved in the organization of the said conference, were present as well, namely, representatives of the Government of Serbia, the cabinet of the minister for innovations and technological development, the cabinet of the ministry of mining and energy of Serbia / the national coordinator of Serbia for cooperation between China and CEE countries and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.
In addition to the ministerial meeting, the conference will also include a business forum called “2nd Innovation Talk Conference”. The countries which haven't yet confirmed their participation have been asked to do so, in order for the conference to be prepared as efficiently as possible.
In addition to ministerial delegations, the conference will be attended by representatives of industrial and science-technology parks, business incubators, universities, companies and startups from the fields of artificial intelligence, cyber-security, smart cities, railways, e-trade, robotics etc.
