The construction of a cultural station in Slana Bara in Novi Sad should start soon, 021.rs learns. The facility would be built in the location where the prefabricated structure at 54 Cenejska Street is now. The current facility is used by the local community and the Pensioners’ Club.

More precisely, the location in question is the parcel on the corner of Cenejska and Ritska streets and has 2,500 m2. The prefabricated facility will be removed to make place for the Cultural Station Slana Bara, a single-story building of around 760 m2, whereas the building next door, at 52 Cenejska Street, another prefabricated facility, will still feature a police station.

The estimated value of the construction is RSD 60.8 million and the Directorate of Property and Property-Legal Relations has opened a tendering procedure for the contractor, open until July 12.

As the building permit was issued in March, if the public procurement procedure succeeds, another Cultural Station should be raised within the activities carried out ahead of the European Cultural Capital 2021 event.
