Opening of bids for construction of bridge near Beška
Bids that were sent on tender for planning and construction of new and rehabilitation of existing bridge across the Danube near Beška were opened yesterday in the Directorate for Roads of Serbia. The Directorate announced that the most favourable bidder for realization of the project whose planned value is about €53m should be selected 30 days after the opening of the bids. The tender documentation was procured by eight of total of 13 prequalified building companies, among which is one domestic consortium led by "Mostogradnja".
Rehabilitation of bridge and construction of new, which should start next year, are partially financed from the credits of European Investment Bank (EIB) and European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development (EBRD). According to the tender terms, the works on the bridges that are settled on Belgrade-Novi Sad highway, should last not longer than three years. The plan is that the bridge “twin”, which should be 11 m wide and have two stop lanes, be built parallelly with the old bridge 2.2 km long.
