State selling JAT Tehnika – Initial price EUR 20.5 million

The Ministry of Economy has opened a public call for the collection of bids for the privatization of JAT Tehnika, and the initial price is EUR 20.5 million.

The main activities of the Surcin-based company JAT Tehnika are maintenance and repairing of aircraft. The company has been offered through the model of the sale of capital, and the ministry has invited interested parties to submit bids by July 31, with the deposit payment of EUR 2 million.

As said in the report by the authorized valuer, the highest value of JAT Tehnika in the range of an estimated fair market capital value offered amounted to EUR 20,498,762 at the end of 2018.

Eligible tenderers are companies whose main activities are maintenance and repairing of aircraft, in the period of at least five consecutive years and whose operating income, individually or on a consolidated level, in 2018 was at least EUR 40,000,000.00.

Tenderers also need to have capacities for base maintenance and repairing of aircraft on at least 10 parallel positions simultaneously, for at least two consecutive years. They also need to have certificates for base and linear maintenance of Bombardier and Embraer models for at least five consecutive years.

Tenderers need to have certificates for base or linear maintenance of at least three to four aircraft of B737CL, B737NG, A320 and ATR 42/72 types for at least five consecutive years and certificates for base or linear maintenance of B737 MAX and A320 Series NEO aircraft.

The offer pertains to 99.3% of the total capital of JAT Tehnika, of which the majority is owned by the Republic of Serbia – 95.4% of the total capital, whereas several percent each are owned by the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund and the National Health Insurance Fund. The National Employment Service, the Municipality of Pecinci and the Municipality of Arandjelovac own under 1% each.
